During 2019 to 2020, we started to rebuild an old Nissan Pathfinder into an “Outdoor Utility Vehicle” (OUV), which should allow self-sufficient camping in the wilderness, while being sufficiently off-road capable to reach the really nice spots in nature. Full-fledged campervans or camping trailers were not an option as they usually come to a stop where the road ends, or they are expedition vehicles and super expensive. Hence we set on to build ourselves what we wanted, happy to make some sacrifices like flushing toilet, shower or air condition.
What you see here is ‘work-in-progress’ and can still be much improved. Stay tuned …
